If anyone knows classy, you can bet it’s David Beckham. In this new installation of his collaboration with H&M, David Beckham has updated his collection Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham to focus on the classic suit with a contemporary twist – just in time for Spring 2016. It will come as no surprise, then, that this new collection boasts a tasteful blend of sportswear and sharp tailoring, to see you through the season comfortably, and with versatility.
The selection of Harrington jackets and matching tailored pants, surprisingly, easily complement the trendy joggers and sweats that you’d expect to see in any sportswear line. It’s all meant to represent the evolution of men’s style, with contrasting textures and colours, while staying casually chic for any occasion. The devil is in the details – crisp white lapels on the polo shirts lend a sharp aesthetic to the typical sports-inspired piece. You can look forward to clean silhouettes and classy cuts – a la Red Carpet Beckham.
And for anyone keener on casualwear, the David Beckham Bodywear line at H&M has received a facelift for this spring too. Sportswear classics like sweatshirts and joggers are getting new shapes and fresh details – think raw hems, side zips, and boho-style raglan sleeves for a laidback, worn-in effect. Everything comes in a gorgeous chill palette of urban neutrals – perfect for easy mixing and matching of the sports luxe trend.
The very thought of lounging around so glamorously has us dizzy, but it’s good to know the athlete himself walks his talk. “It’s everything a man needs for bodywear,” says David Beckham, “from underwear to these new takes on sportswear classics that I can’t wait to wear.” Well, now there’s just no excuse to look sloppy at the gym.
H&M DB Modern Essentials collection, $19.90 for a T-Shirt to $139.90 for a Blazer; Bodywear collection, $24.90 for a Tank Top to $79.90 for Sweatpants, available at H&M Orchard Building and ION Orchard from 25 February 2016. hm.com/sg/
