The Disney Empire is in a good place, especially after making high-profile acquisitions over the years. Sure, Disney’s acquisition of Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion brought along plenty of skeptics, but look at them now. Last year, it was the first time that each of their acquired companies released a film in the same year, marking their essential roles in the empire. What was even crazier was when Disney shocked the world with the $4 billion acquisition of Lucasfilm, the same people who brought us Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Fast forward to 2016, we’ve seen what a splendid job they’ve done with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and we just cannot wait to see what else they have up their sleeves.
