Rihanna has been conquering headlines week after week this month; her collection debut at the New York Fashion Week and the twin videos for her single with Drake, “Work”, being just two of them. This week, she’s unveiled The Trainer under her FENTY label, a sneaker that looks just as bad-ass as the performance it promises to deliver. First seen at her Fenty x Puma FW16 show on 12 February, The Trainer is pretty much a performance trainer fused with a fashion-forward and futuristic flair. This all-new PUMA silhouette is fearless and has massive sex appeal, just like Riri herself. The upper is made from Ariaprene, an advanced form of neoprene for a more secure and breathable fit. Extra levels of support are provided with its exaggerated upwards-extending high tongue and TPU Kurim cage with fully reflective underlay. This extremely flexible pair of kicks features a full-length groove and additional heel thicknesses on medial and lateral sides for quick and dynamic multi-directional movements. Riri really went all out with this shoe, paying as much attention to the unique textures and materials as she did with the fit, technical details and colours. This brand new silhouette will be available in three tonal colourways – black, white and red. There are only 30 pairs available in Singapore, so get yours quick.
