So it seems like there’s a new cushion launching every few weeks, as the Western beauty brands start following their Korean counterparts into getting in on the cushion game in a major way this year. Seriously, though, it feels like every other brand has a new cushion or one coming up these few months – but we’re pretty sure no one’s complaining.
This week’s update is from Estée Lauder, who bring to us a BB Cushion under what else but their Double Wear range, that ol’ reliable longwearing foundation range that has been flying off shelves since 1997. As a BB Cream, expect a sheerer level of coverage, but with all of the staying power that we love the Double Wear for.
We know and love the original Double Wear Stay-In-Place liquid foundation for its matte finish that ensures unsightly mid-day shine doesn’t stand a chance, but note that the BB Cushion variation is decidedly more dewy. The skincare ingredients in the formula work to leave a hydrated, glowing-from-within finish that will make you look perpetually fresh-faced; silk powder and the brand’s pigment technology prime the skin for an even finish, always.
If you’re worried that the lighter coverage won’t do enough to keep the dreaded oil slicks from appearing on your face, rest assured that this cushion fights sebum the all-natural way: with cold water kelp extract, to help balance the skin’s natural oil production and ensure they don’t go into overdrive.
