How To Wear The New Laneige Two Tone Collection

Like us, you’re probably real stoked about LANEIGE’s new Two Tone Collection: Besides four new shades of the much-loved Two Tone Lip Bars, they’ve debuted the Two Tone Shadow Bars that are eyeshadows in the same dual-colour stick form, packaged in the most insanely pretty rose gold cases.
The packaging alone is enough to make us plonk down our money for all the colours – if you feel the same, calm down a little, and let’s take a good look at what actually matters: the shades themselves. These new launches are essentially 16 new colours and 8 new colour combinations we can now play with, and we understand if you don’t know where to begin. After all, they’re all so pretty! If only we can wear them all at once! We get you, but as to how to actually make these fresh colours work on your face and look as cute as Lee Sung Kyung, LANEIGE’s newest ambassador, does, we’ve got some ideas below.

Peachy Keen
Two Tone Shadow Bar in No. 1 Humming Coral + Two Tone Lip Bar in No. 13 Orange Blurring
For eyeshadow that’s pretty without being too… girly, we turn to this light coral with pinkish tones. It’s paired with a bronze shimmer that we would blend up to right below the brow bone, before letting the coral go over the crease. On the lips, add an orange tint with the Two Tone Lip Bar in No. 13 Orange Blurring to the centre, while the white shade helps add a concealer effect on the outer part of the lips to easily nail a sweet ombre lip. Overall, the kind of colour combination that makes your look instantly fresher-faced, even if you haven’t had your morning coffee and you’re feeling closer like one of the walking dead on the inside. But with your cute makeup, no one will be able to tell!

Coming Up Roses
Two Tone Shadow Bar in No. 2 Golden Rose + Two Tone Lip Bar in No. 14 Dear Pink
The white shimmer of the Shadow Bar acts as an eyeshadow base – don’t be afraid to let it go all the way up to the browbone. Then, use the gold-toned rose on the other side of the bar to create a light daytime-friendly smoky eye, letting it go darker on the outer corner of the lids. The Two Tone Lip Bar in No. 14 Dear Pink has a light pastel pink framing a glossy fuchsia, and when paired with the shadow colours, looks glamorous without being too OTT for the office/school.

Summertime Gladness
Two Tone Shadow Bar in No. 3 Orange Island + Two Tone Lip Bar in No. 11 Juicy Pop
You might be thinking, whoa, that’s a lot of orange on the face at one time. And, yellow lips? But, trust us on this: This is a cute summery combination that you’ll be able to pull off. Just keep the shimmery orange on the Shadow Bar close to the lashline and blend it well with the cream shimmer so your eyeshadow won’t steal the show. The spotlight will be on your juicy lips – the yellow goes on the outside and the orange on the inside, so the yellow is just a subtle tint that helps add more dimension to the orange. Just check out LANEIGE ambassador Lee Sung Kyung rocking it in the top picture. See? We told you it works.

Caffeine Dose
Two Tone Shadow Bar in No. 4 Coffee Bronze + Two Tone Lip Bar in No. 12 Maxi Red
We call this a K-Beauty-style nighttime look. Instead of the traditional dark smoky eye using black and dark blue shades, layer this shimmery dark brown with a pink-toned cream, and line under the eyes with the lighter shade as well to get an eye-enlarging effect. And as a lighter alternative to the traditional red lip, the Two Tone Lip Bar’s Maxi Red shade keeps the red to the centre, fading out to a light pink.
