Rihanna’s performance at yesterday’s Billboard Music Awards was very refreshing. We’re all used to the Barbadian singer’s fancy outfits, badass gangster attitude in her videos and her alluringly high-energetic live performances onstage; but yesterday was different. She opted to appear in a beautiful Thierry Mugler jade pantsuit with nothing but the microphone and herself (on stage), as she delivered a passionate, goosebump-inducing performance of “Love on the Brain”.
But when the Anti singer isn’t busy looking her best while performing and winning awards, she turns to her other passion – fashion. As PUMA Women’s creative director and brand ambassador, Rihanna has been busy releasing her pieces under her Fenty label, which made its runway debut at this year’s New York Fashion Week. This time, she’s back to deliver three brand new colourways for the Fenty PUMA by Rihanna Creeper collection.
Rihanna continues to add her signature touch to the upcoming selection, mixing it up with PUMA’s sporting heritage and the Creeper’s association to the punk era. The new variations include two new premium suede iterations – the Green-Bordeaux Creeper, which has a green upper, maroon formstripe and gum sole, alongside the Black Satin, which features full black suede with satin details on the formstripe. The third and newest style in the range, the Basket Creeper Glo, showcases an all-white, shiny patent leather. Each pair comes with two sets of laces in waxed and classic options with gold trims, and are packaged in a premium velvet Fenty PUMA by Rihanna shoe bag.
