When it comes to instant noodles, NISSIN doesn’t mess around. The Japanese company is loved in Japan as well as countries across the globe, frequently regarded as a giant in the instant foods industry. In particular, NISSIN’s famed Demae Ramen and its cartoon mascot, Demae Boya, has received much popularity in Hong Kong.
It’s no wonder, then, that Demae Ramen and Demae Boya are the key elements of NISSIN’s upcoming collab with local trend-setter :CHOCOOLATE. With a traditional black-white-grey palette, decorated with splashes of red, the collection presents a style that is both playful and casual for men and women. The designers over at :CHOCOOLATE have also brilliantly snuck in their trademark penguin logo onto the t-shirts, making them even more adorable.
Of course, no collection would be complete without accessories, and this series is set to deliver. Items such as crossbody bags, cushions and storage boxes with designs based on the black-and-white packaging of the Demae Ramen Black Garlic Oil Tonkatsu Flavour Instant Noodles will be available upon its launch. Just don’t try eating your bag, though. We can’t guarantee it’ll taste as good as it looks.
:CHOCOOLATE x NISSIN collection, $59.90 – $150, available at Bugis Junction and orchardgateway from 17 June 2016. chocoolate.hk
