This music video pretty much needs no introduction, but we’re giving it one anyway. Scottish synthpop band Chvrches (“Churches”) have teamed up with Paramore’s powerhouse-vocalist Hayley Williams for their latest release, “Bury It”. With a video game-esque synth beat, it’s easy to see why they opted for the comic-book superhero look, and we’d be lying if we said that we didn’t adore their animated selves. An artist known as Jamie McKelvie reportedly worked with the animation studio Mighty Nice to create the whole thing, and their hard work has definitely paid off; that last scene with them flying into the sunset gives us all kinds of feels.
We’re still trying to figure out their exact superpowers, though. Telekenesis? Fire? Light? Maybe a combo of all three? Decide for yourself as you watch the video here:
