Singapore has plenty of food festivals happening all the time (we are a foodie nation after all). There’s gourmet markets, wine fairs, beer bazaars and of course, the humble pasar malam. But now, there’s an all-new design-centric, food festival to check out.
Introducing I EAT DESIGN – an event by Naiise that aims to connect the local food and design scene, a truly admirable effort if you ask us. So what can visitors expect from the two-day festival? Well, there’ll be plenty of eating for sure! For instance, visitors can look forward to moon cakes by j.artisier, salted egg chocolate truffles by Demochoco, eclairs by Sarah Michelle and unicorn-themed food by STATE Creative, as well as mocktails by The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. and JEWELS by Cheng.
In addition, visitors also get the opportunity to design their own food creations. Eastern Granola and Box Green will be holding a granola parfait-making workshop, Straits Wholefoods will give the lowdown on ice-cream making, while lessons on tea-blending will be held by Whitetree. Wannabe drink connoisseurs can also participate in a wine and soju appreciation class by Geonbae. Register for classes via this link.
If anything, you get to indulge in a little shopping at their retail section too!
I EAT DESIGN is happening on 10 to 11 September from 1pm to 9pm at its flagship store at The Cathay. Visit their official website at www.naiise.com.
