Graphic Prints and Fur
Marlene Birger’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection shows us that the “everything furry and pink” trend is here to stay. We’re extra grateful for the heads up on pairing them with a bold statement print that’ll get heads turning.
Dress code: Dress coat
Coats no longer solely belong in the “outerwear” category anymore, at least not in the books of Saks Potts they don’t. And we’re totally with them on this, the idea of going commando underneath a coat just seems liberating at its best. You’ll agree with us once you’ve tried pulling your chunky coats off as dresses too.
Bring out your dad’s dress shirts
We’ll be scrambling through thrift stores and begging our dads for their old dress shirts to achieve this look. We’re digging the oversized dress shirt look, which adds a stylish laid back quality to what’s otherwise meant to strictly look preppy and neat. Shoutout to Vetements for enlightening us on this!
Cut it out
We remember when everyone wore outfits with cut-outs in them. We’re glad these geometric slices and graphic slits are back to dominate the streets once again. Lolitta shows us how to keep things incredibly breezy with a tangerine vest and crop top coordination, paired with unexpected cut-outs on a graphic skirt with its 2017 Spring Summer showcase.
Neck and neck
It seems like the tie neck look isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Reinaldo Lourenço drops us in on how we can effortlessly slay the streets with a skinny scarf tied loosely around our necks (which, fortunately for us, goes super well with any outfit you choose to pair it with). What an elevated tweak to how the cool kids are currently doing it; with one of those suede strings to go with something low cut or buttoned down.
