This Lisa Frank-inspired Rainbow Hair Is a Major Pastel Throwback to the '90s

From rainbow-tinged roots to hidden colours and the straight-up strikingly bold, you guys probably know that we’re suckers for bright, technicoloured tresses. There’s just something about that combination of prettyΒ pastel colours that never fails to mesmerise and put a smile on our faces. If you’ve always wanted to try the trend, now’s probably the best time.
The latest hair trend to go viral on Instagram is borrowing a little inspiration from the ’90s – namely from Lisa Frank. So, instead of wearing rainbow shades at maximum intensity, it involves taking the bright colours down a notch.

If you’re unfamiliar with Lisa Frank, you won’t be for long. She’s the founder of Lisa Frank Inc. and she’s most known for producing vibrant images that are featured on school supplies and various other products that are marketed to young girls. In fact, you may recognise her lunch boxes, Trapper Keepers, as well as stickers and toys from the 1980s and 1990s.

#LisaFrankHair is currently taking over our social media feeds and you’ll probably scroll past a post with that hashtag on it soon if you haven’t already. Since these shades that are reminiscent of unicorns aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, you may wanna draw some inspiration from these gorgeous rainbow locks. If you’re jumping on board the pastel train, be sure to find the right colourist to do the job and bring in a photo to show them the colour scheme and placementΒ you’re going for. After all, not all Lisa Frank hair will be created equal.
