She’s a notable UN ambassador, a Brown University graduate with a degree in English Literature, a resolute advocate of sustainable fashion and, little did we know, she does some acting on the side, too. We jest – and yes, we’re referring to our poster child of feminism, Emma Watson. Now, Emma’s using her influential presence to promote sustainable fashion through her new account on Instagram called The Press Tour.
Created to let her fans in on what goes on as she travels around the globe to promote the new Beauty and the Beast film, her account is a documentation of her eco-friendly outfits and offers a peek inside the making of an ensemble. Emma and her stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray have been activists of sustainable fashion for aeons and have been very vocal about it. Case in point? Every post on The Press Tour’s account features every detail of Emma’s looks, complete with commentary and a verification by Eco-Age.

When she visited Paris last weekend for the first public screening of the film, she went with a sophisticated look from Oscar de la Renta’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection. The combination of the embroidered satin bustier and red floor-grazing silk faille sash sure made for an arresting look. She also made heads turn in a custom Louis Vuitton dress designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere, and has shared other striking outfits featuring apparel from Stella McCartney and Filippa K.

In her most recent post, Emma also champions green beauty, crediting the natural beauty brands that were used to create her makeup look. Well, it seems the actress has plenty more in store for the weeks ahead. Her new account may have just kicked off two days ago, but it’s already raked in more than 285,000 followers, evidence that her voice is a force to be reckoned with.
