This Vans x Union Collaboration Pretty Much Confirms The Monochromatic Sneaker Trend

If you were still wondering if monochromatic colourways were going to be the next big sneaker trend of 2017, Vans might have just went ahead and answered your question. It’s only been two weeks since the skate brand announced their “Passion Pack” collaboration with Opening Ceremony, and they’ve already announced that they’re teaming up with Los Angeles-based retailer Union for yet another tonal collection.

Once again using the brand’s signature Old Skool silhouette, the collection completely covers the sneakers in off-white, muted gold and — everybody’s new favourite colour — dusty pink. Unlike the Passion Pack’s luxurious aesthetic, the uppers on these feature a more rugged combination of suede and twill weave, while the signature jazz stripe is made from pebble grain leather. To mix things up a little, the soles have also been made marine blue for a subtle hint of contrast.

The Union x Vans collection will be dropping on the 18th of March, and will be available exclusively on the Union website. A classic sneaker paired with one of the hottest colours in recent memory? Yup, we’ll definitely be adding this one to our carts.
