Common Projects' Upcoming Spring/Summer Collection Rounds Up Some The Biggest Sneaker Trends of 2017

Don’t get us wrong: we love our sneakers, but even the most loyal of sneakerheads will agree that a pair of Stan Smiths — versatile as they are — aren’t the most “mature” of footwear choices (try rocking those at a wedding and tell us what happens). Luxury shoe brand Common Projects, however, have always tried to change that perception by adding a touch of subtle elegance to their kicks, and they’re definitely keeping it trendy at the same time with their upcoming Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

In a nutshell, the extensive collection is pretty much a roundup of the biggest sneaker trends of 2017 — you want tonal sneakers? There’s an entire spectrum of colours to choose from. How about the metallic trend? Yeah, they’ve got one of those too. The collection still includes the brand’s signature Achilles Low silhouette in a variety of new colourways and materials for those looking for something a little more trend-proof, and there are even some boots (in dusty pink, no less) thrown in for good measure as well. We’ve never felt so spoilt for choice.

There’s currently no word on when the Common Projects Spring/Summer 2017 collection will be released, but seeing that it’s a…well, Spring/Summer collection, it should be dropping within the next few weeks — just make sure to follow the brand’s website for the latest updates. Y’know, with such premium materials and so many choices to choose from, you just might be able to find something to wear to that wedding after all.
