Get Your Korean Food Fix With McDonald's New Seoul Spicy Burger

From entertainment to fashion to make up, Korean culture has no doubt become a big part of our lives, and judging by the number of restaurants popping all around the country, it looks like Korean food is a trend that’s here to stay as well. Hot off the heels of their Prosperity Burger, McDonald’s is now next to jump on the k-bandwagon with their new Seoul Spicy Burger.

Available in both chicken and beef versions, the burger packs a spicy punch thanks to its special “Korean sauce”, which consists of traditional Korean ingredients such as soy sauce, red paprika and fermented soy bean paste. Top it off with some romaine lettuce and creamy coleslaw, and we think we might have found our new favourite burger.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a real McDonald’s promotion without some shaker fries, and to keep up with the whole Korean vibe it looks like the masters of comfort food have come up with a brand new Kimchi variant that we can’t wait to try. And as if that wasn’t enough to convince us to delay our diet plans (again), there’s also a new melon McFlurry — with coconut jelly, no less — to end our meal on a sweet note.

The Seoul Spicy Special meal — which includes a Seoul Spicy burger, Kimchi shaker fries and peach Mcfizz — will cost you $8.40, and if you can’t wait to try it for yourself, here’s some good news: the menu will be available from today onwards, so there’s really no argument on what you should have for lunch today. As with all McDonald’s promotions, it’ll only be available for a limited time, so you better get your Korean food fix while you can.
