The beauty looks paraded on the Fall 2017 runway shows zoomed in on the eyes way more than ever before. Lids were decked in blocks of vivid shades, smeared in glitter, lined in black, and doused in gloss, which is why Pat McGrath’s newest product launch is about to make its descent from the astral planes right on time.
If you haven’t been paying attention, her sixth product, the Dark Star 006 eye kits, have actually been teased throughout fashion month. Similar to her instant sellout, Lust 004, there’s three Dark Star 006 kits you’ll want to collect: a six-piece kit named ‘Version:Dark Matter’; and two seven-piece kits, ‘Version: UltraViolet Blue’ and ‘Version: UltraSuede Brown’.
The electric blue shadow from ‘Version: UltraViolet Blue’ made its debut on the lids of Bella Hadid over at Anna Sui’s show, followed by the heavy black liner teased backstage at Prada, Marni and Versace; and we finally got a glimpse of that intergalactic glimmer at Margiela. All of these products can now be found in her new eye kits which will put a holographic spin on the conventional smokey eye.
The makeup extraordinaire told US Weekly, “The Dark Star 006 kit is all about the infinite blackness of outer space, a star before it goes supernova, the iridescence of a raven’s wing, a kohl-rimmed punk with smoke curling from their cigarette, but also a refined rebellion.” Now that’s an intense description we can all definitely get on board with.
