With an ethereal name like “Moon Violet”, you’d expect Reebok’s latest sneaker offering to be one that’s sprinkled with dreamy fairytale vibes — and it is, except that as ironic as it sounds, this pastel sneaker, decked out in a fully tonal purple upper, is screaming out to us as loudly as any neon pink would. It doesn’t seem like the whole monochromatic pastel trend is going anywhere, not for footwear at least, and lavender seems to be the crown colour of the party.
The sneaker’s hairy suede upper lends the footwear some texture, which is a subtle contrast against the otherwise pretty minimalist-looking upper. There is little to no detailing, except for black accents of the brand’s name peppered on the sides and on the tongue. Complete with a solid white sole, the “Moon Violet” is possibly one of the more statement-worthy pair of sneakers of Reebok’s releases this Spring.
