Disney’s magical cast of characters might grow larger with every passing year, but it’s an almost undeniable fact that none are as iconic as the king and queen of Disney themselves, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Appearing in books, cartoons and sometimes even our food, Minnie Mouse was pretty much there at every point of our childhoods, so it’s no surprise that Uniqlo is teaming up with French fashion designer Olympia Le-Tan to come up with a collection that pays homage to the classic character.
Featuring an assortment of tee shirts and bags, the 23-piece collection actually tells a story of Minnie creating a handmade dress, and makes use of the signature dot pattern typically seen on the character’s outfits. The designs cater to varying levels of fandom — ranging from subtle patterns to proudly putting the character on full display — and we’re really digging the use of “classic Minnie” instead of her modern counterpart for that throwback vibe that never goes out of style.
The Uniqlo “Minne Mouse Loves Dots” collection will be available at all Uniqlo outlets and their website from the 10th of April, and with tees coming in at an affordable $14.90 each, you won’t even have to break the bank to show your love for the character on the street. Considering that the live-action Beauty and the Beast movie has reinvigorated our love for all things Disney, there’s really no better time to be rocking threads like this.
