After releasing a whole ton of NMD’s last Thursday (seriously, they should have just gone ahead and called it NMD day), it looks like Adidas is now looking to focus their efforts on making their new Iniki Runner silhouette the next big thing in the sneaker world. Following the unveiling of the retro-inspired “Pride of the 70s” just a few days ago, the brand with the three stripes has already announced yet another Iniki in a trendy “Haze Coral” colourway, and we definitely like what we’re seeing.
In what feels like a response to the Nike’s pink / grey Internationalists we saw last week, the sneaker’s upper features different shades of the same colour thanks to the varying finishes on different materials — the mesh in the middle is draped in a striking salmon pink, while the suede portions rock a much more subdued shade for a contrasting look. For a pop of colour, the brand’s signature serrated stripes on the side and heel tab have been made an equally striking blue (now that’s a combination we haven’t seen before), while the lower half maintains the sporty vibes of the Iniki with a with a white midsole / gum sole combination.
The Adidas Iniki Runner Boost “Haze Coral” is set to drop on the 20th of April, and can be copped at the brand’s official website for US$120. Considering that there are still more colourways yet to be unveiled, it looks like next week is shaping up to be a hyped one for the up-and-coming silhouette.
