We think it’s safe to say that BECCA Cosmetics offers some of the best highlighters out there. Following the successful launch of cult-favourite, Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighter in Prismatic Amethyst and with the BECCA x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette receiving positive response, BECCA Cosmetics is hitting a home run with their upcoming Light Chaser Highlighters and Liquid Crystal Lip Topper Glow Glosses series. We know, it’s quite a mouthful. And don’t say we didn’t warn ya, this series is coming soon in early June, which is REAL soon.
Is it just us or do the Light Chasers sound like an illuminating weapon, like lightsabers but for beauty gurus? We can already imagine how the unboxing of this treasure will look like: the glistening light that shines on your face, blinding your eyes as you slowly open that compact casing while an angelic choir magically appears behind you, singing an intense classical tune. Yes, it’s going to be that dramatic.
According to Kerry Cole, global style director of Becca Cosmetics, the new Light Chaser Highlighters consist of a kaleidoscopic formula that shifts shades as it catches the light which promises “hypnotising colour luminosity with a metamorphic finish”, or, in other words, an other-worldly glow. It’s also note-worthy that these don’t just serve as highlighters, they can also be applied on the eyelids and with a wet brush, you get metallic eyeliners! It’s always a plus point when beauty products have multiple forms of usage since you get two products for the price of one! And with these, they can be used in three different ways. Named after gemstones, the Light Chaser Highlighters come in the following shades: Pearl Flashes Gold, Rose Quartz Flashes Seashell, Champagne Dream Flashes Bellini, Opal Flashes Jade, Amethyst Flashes Geode and Topaz Flashes Gilt.
But wait a minute. We know BECCA for their illuminating highlighters that leave our cheeks poppin’, but the cosmetic brand hasn’t really upped their lip game as much. So when we heard that BECCA was coming up with something shimmery to drench our pouts in, we’re sure as hell excited for that. The Lip Toppers come in shades that match the colours of the Light Chaser Highlighters – Pearl X Gold, Rose Quartz X Seashell, Champagne Dream X Bellini, Opal X Jade, Amethyst X Geode and Topaz X Gilt. These were the ingredients chosen to create the ultimate holographic glow lips! (Sorry, we just had to include the opening lines from Powerpuff Girls. It just feels appropriate.) With the kaleidoscopic-pearls found in the lip glow glosses, you can add some colour and dimension to your pout by coating over your lipstick or just wear it alone.
The price range for the products are currently not known and it’s only revealed to be available in early June exclusively at Sephora and BECCACosmetics.com. Let’s just pray that by Sephora, they mean it internationally. *Fingers crossed*
