Admit it, girls: half the fun in working out lies in building your workout wardrobe. You know it – those cute tights and sports bras that we all love to keep buying more and more of, but for some of us, wearing it to an actual workout session is a whole other matter altogether.

Lorna Jane is already an established brand in its home country of Australia, and its founder, Lorna Jane Clarkson herself, has been designing activewear since 1989, in an era when the term “activewear” was far from even being coined yet.
We got acquainted with the brand recently, which has a Singapore online store in addition to a showroom at Ann Siang, and we found that it stocks a very impressive quantity of workout tops, sports bras, tights and an assortment of other accessories like bags and bottles. The styles are quite varied, ranging from the standard black/white/grey to neons and pastels, as well as slogan tops and loud prints.
When it comes to the classic black tights, we guess you could purchase one anywhere, and for cheap – but if you’re really serious about getting a pair that can keep up, Lorna Jane’s iconic Active Core Stability tights feature the brand’s proprietary technology, the LJ Active Core Stability™, which is found in the LJ Excel™ fabric these tights, and many of the other pieces, are made in. The magic’s in the power mesh and waistband, which helps better support your core muscles during physical activity while still feeling comfortable, with a bit of a firming effect to boot.
Considering that Lorna Jane is someone who’s 52 years old and still rocking some very fine washboard abs, the gear she’s designed in her name must at least be doing something right. We just found our new motivation for finally dusting off that yoga mat we’ve left to rot in the corner of the room.
