Scrolling through Selena Gomez’s Instagram feed is akin to being treated a treasure trove of incredible beauty looks that we’d always subconsciously want to recreate. But of course, Gomez has an army of talented makeup artists that she can rely on to make her look this good, whereas all we have are… ourselves. The next logical thing to do would be to find out exactly what products were used, so that we can colour match our own makeup to nail the look as keenly as possible. But while Gomez (and team) have the Midas’ Touch of making her look drop-dead gorgeous, they also possess this uncanny talent of keeping the products used on her face hush-hush. It wasn’t until Pat McGrath, celebrity MUA (and our homegirl) revealed the winning lipstick that she used on Gomez to create the perfect nude pout for the singer’s first Coach campaign shoot. And you guessed it, it’s none other than McGrath’s upcoming Lust: MatteTrance collection in a gorgeous pinky beige nude shade called 1995.
Everyone loves a good nude. 1995 falls into the cooler-end of the pink spectrum, and goes on pretty pale, even on fairer skin tones. It’s pretty much a MLBB shade that we all might already have in our stash, but hey, no one ever said no to another pink beige, yes? And since the Lust: MatteTrance lipsticks will only be launched in July, you might as well get your hands on one of these dupes, which we dare say, are pretty spot on.
