This summer, we are seeing a ton of brands jumping onto the pastels bandwagon, because you just can’t go wrong with such a delicate colourway, can you? Or perhaps, brands are just capitalising on the fact that pastels are the way to a girls’ heart? Sneaky… Either way, ASICS Tiger are wanting in too, by offering their GEL-LYTE V silhouettes in three pastel colour-blocked designs (mainly pink, orange and green), and they’re not just for girls.
As with all GEL-LYTE V models, the signature Mono-Sock liner remains intact, but instead of going for a usual monochromatic pastel look, the colour-block scheme combines several shades of pastels in one shoe, which further brings out the retro appeal that the shoe already has. Constructed with perforated nubuck leather, these kicks also feature laces that weave through the nubuck ASICS stripes, and the GEL-LYTE V logo highlighted in a matching colour with the rear outsole. Boys, if you have just completed your national service and are looking for a much trendier pair of running shoes than the ones provided in the army, do yourself a favour and add this “Pastels” pack into your options.
