Meet the Brow Product That's Splitting the Internet in Half

Brows are arguably the most important features of the face. They frame and define, capable of changing an expression entirely with just a few sprouting brow hairs. Some of us are blessed with a set of dense brows at birth, but some of us aren’t that lucky (thanks genetics), and attempting to get them right opens up a whole other can of worms.
We here at NYLON are suckers for a good brow, which is why we’ve even given you a crash course on brow styling. Yup, we’re that passionate about them. From eyebrow embroidery to brow tints and even brow wigs, we’re always searching for new ways to shape our arches, ready to risk it all in the name of better-looking brows. Needless to say, when we heard about the i-Envy Brow Stamp, we sat up straight, ready to receive more information.

Brow stamps are exactly what they sound like – they’re stamps in the shape of brow arches. Similar to brow tints, they’re a pain-free alternative but are less permanent. To use, you have to rub the stamps into a powder that’s included in the kit before you press them onto your brows. It’s a process that supposedly takes up six seconds, claiming to give you full, flawless-looking brows when the time is up. And from these few trials, it sure looks like a pretty effective tool for getting those brows on.

Seems a little too good to be true, right? Well, it is. Others have also taken to the Internet to upload videos documenting their disastrous attempts with the i-Envy Brow Stamp. Lining the stamp to fit an entire brow poses a huge challenge in and of itself, and a stamp method won’t allow you to control the opacity, so don’t expect a lovely ombré effect with this tool. A powder formula isn’t exactly the best if you’re looking to get a natural finish. It does quite the opposite, in fact. Also, a one-size-fits-all brow stamp? Not happening. Brows come in varying shapes and lengths, so this is one hell of an ineffective solution.

These unlucky individuals ended up spending more time cleaning up the chaos that ensued than just drawing them on as they would normally would. Yikes. Perhaps you shouldn’t be taking shortcuts when it comes to this part of your makeup routine. We know we’ll be sticking to our tried-and-true brow heroes instead.
