Paris Hilton's Juicy Couture Track Pants and Von Dutch Trucker Hats Are Making A Comeback

Remember when Juicy Couture tracksuits and Von Dutch bags were all the rage in the 2000’s? Paris Hilton was rocking her matching pink velour tracksuit with the word “JUICY” embellished right smack in the middle of her butt in either glitter or rhinestones, paired with her Von Dutch trucker cap, and carrying a lil chihuahua around. Yeap, Hilton was probably the purveyor of that velvet tracksuit life that was oh so fabulous 10 years ago. She’s not the only one: Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears and even fictional character, Regina George, each owned at least one set of the plush tracksuits.

Now, we would probably agree that the fake diamonds and all-pink outfit just look cheap and unfashionable. But whether you like it or not, we have been seeing Juicy Couture and Von Dutch appearing on our Instagram feed as of late. It’s slowly making a comeback.

Early this year, the queen of Snapchat, Kylie Jenner posted a snap of her in a Juicy tracksuit, and of course everybody started following suit. The pose these girls always do for the ‘gram? Squatting or kneeling with their backs facing the camera and slightly turning their heads to face the camera with a seductive look. Because if you don’t show the butt-popping, jewel-encrusted trackpants to the world, is it really Juicy?

We’ve also seen tight-fitting cropped Von Dutch T-shirts and caps making the rounds on Instagram, and damn, does that iconic curvy font bring back memories of every school kid owning a Von Dutch sling bag.
Well, all we can say is these brands were a part of popular culture and fashion a decade ago and although the trend is probably just a fad, it’s nice to relive our horrid fashion sense from back in the day. By the way, you still can get that all-pink Juicy Couture tracksuit at ASOS and Von Dutch trucker caps at Selfridges, if you ever plan on bringing back the trend, that is.
