Confirmed: McDonald’s to Bring Back Nasi Lemak Burger on August 31

Just last week, we revealed that McDonald’s had plans to re-launch the Nasi Lemak Burger, after a tip-off was given to 8Days from an unknown but reliable source. Well, guess what? The locally inspired fast food creation will now be back on sale from August 31 onwards, as confirmed by McDonald’s in a press release.

The popular burger, which sparked crazy queues island-wide, will make its return alongside the original menu items that debuted with it back in July, such as the Bandung McFizz, Chendol Mc Flurry, and Coconut Pie, while diners can look forward to new additions such as the Potato Wedges (available from September 7 onwards) and Sweet Corn Cone.

In the release sent by McDonald’s, it was specified that this promo will only be available while stocks last, so don’t go around hoping that the Nasi Lemak Burger will become a permanent fixture. Although we sure hope that it’ll be around a whole lot longer than the last time. Two weeks and a “sold-out” burger was way too short for our liking.

If you missed out on the Nasi Lemak Burger back in July, it’ll be available after breakfast hours in all McDonald’s restaurants, Drive-Thru and via McDelivery from $5.95 onwards.
