Experience VR Like Never Before with Exciting Updates from Microsoft

People in the early 20th century were probably expecting flying cars to be around by 2017, but though we haven’t quite figured that out yet, there’s another futuristic piece of tech that’s changing the face of the earth: virtual reality, or more simply, VR.
VR is something that’s been around for quite awhile now, with gadgets like the PlayStation VR, Microsoft HoloLens, Google Cardboard, and Oculus Rift becoming household names.
Microsoft however wants to up the ante even further. The technology giant announced in a blog post on Monday (August 28) that new updates would be added to its line of Windows Mixed Reality headsets, with further details to be shared at the IFA trade show in Berlin from September 1 to 6.

The blog post did give away a few juicy nuggets though.
Microsoft unveiled that its new Windows Mixed Reality headsets would be the first gadgets to deliver full-blown VR experiences without relying on external cameras, instead using built-in sensors to track physical positions. That’ll save you time and money setting up external cameras that usually take up loads of space.
Also, other things to look out for include reduced prices for headsets and controllers, more compatibility with game-specific PCs, as well as new content partners, although the most exciting announcement has to be Microsoft’s new partnership with Steam, which gives users cutting edge VR access to the community’s content.
With so much exciting stuff happening in the VR community thanks to Microsoft, we can’t begin to imagine what else the company has got in store for us. Well, we guess the only way to find out is to wait till the IFA rolls around next week. Till then, stick with us for more updates.
