Here’s What to Expect from the Vans x Karl Lagerfeld Collection

The announcement of the Vans x Karl Lagerfeld collection made last week was exciting news for the fashion community but little was known on what to expect. Sure, details of what is in the mix for the collection was revealed, but nothing beats having some form of visuals right? Well, the images are finally here.

Elle is letting us in on their exclusive first look at the 12-piece collection, which includes logo hooded sweatshirts that are complete with checkered sleeves, printed graphic tees, and a reinterpretation of the iconic Vans checkerboard slip-ons which will see the black-and-white squares replaced with Karl Lagerfeld’s signature ponytailed silhouette, almost resembling a houndstooth pattern.

Lagerfeld’s portrait also appears on a monochrome tee, and accessories such as a quilted bag and a checkered hat are also unveiled in a series of photos. And then there’s the debut of the Vans’ Sk8-Hi and Old Skool laceless platforms that features stitches of the alphabet ‘K’.

Prices run the gamut from a low $40 to the most expensive item retailing at $300. The capsule collection will first be presented at the Bread & Butter trade show in Berlin in early September, and is set to have a worldwide release on 7 September 2017 at select Vans stores, Karl Lagerfeld boutiques, as well as on both karl.com and vans.com.
