How To Make Knits Work For Your Tropical Wardrobe

The onset of the Fall/Winter season means the knits are definitely coming out to play. All too soon, the summer dresses and breezy materials are wiped from the racks and shelves, replaced by the wool, the leathers, and the knits.
And then we find ourselves wishing, yet again, that average Singapore temperatures would be just a few degrees cooler, just so we could comfortably wear these pieces without any suffering. Alas, that’s still wishful thinking; also, wool and leather just aren’t going to work outside of a room with air-conditioning on full blast. So what we’ll settle for are the knits, which are still somewhat feasible for a tropical wardrobe. Fortunately, the Fall/Winter collections give us plenty of options – here’s how we’d wear them, without breaking a sweat (hopefully).

The Knit Cardigan
Cut out one extra layer by wearing this knit cardigan as a top, instead of outerwear.

The Knit Skirt
Fact: a knit skirt won’t trap heat – which really makes it a sensible knitwear option for our climate! Use it to anchor a simple work outfit.

The Knit Top

Now, isn’t this unexpected. A knit bag!  A clever way to work with knits, if your tolerance for sweat is an absolute zero. The slouchy silhouette easily accommodates all your daily necessities and knick-knacks, plus will make a nice conversation starter.
