The yet-to-be-launched iPhone 8 is officially the tech world’s worst kept secret. Numerous leaks have shown that the new gadget will most likely have a brand new all-glass design, facial recognition, and wireless charging.
This time however, the phone’s potential colourways have been revealed courtesy of prominent YouTuber Danny Winget, who managed to get his hands on high-quality dummy units of the highly anticipated gadget.
In a comprehensive walkthrough video, Winget talks about the new iPhone in three different colours (black, copper gold, and silver), reserving his dislike for the “Copper Gold” model, saying it’s his least favourite version and “hideous on this colour”.
“The shade is much darker,” Winget says. “It’s hard to even describe this colour. I think it’s pretty ugly. This is a drastic change from the rose gold colours ”

Despite his less than positive comments about the Copper Gold model, Winget notes that actual production units “tend to look better when they’re out in real life”, so it’s important to note that the iPhone 8 could look drastically different from what is shown in the video.
We certainly hope that’s the case. If the video is indeed accurate, the new Copper Gold version will have an ugly white bezel that covers the borders of the phone, a stark contrast from the slickness of the black and silver models.
Well, the only way to find out is when the phone drops later this year, which could be anytime between September to December. Till then, stick with us for more updates.
