For the past 82 years, Lancôme has established itself as a beauty brand of elegance; best known for their sleek packaging. Even their most adorable offering, the Juicy Shaker is housed in a silver gleam and takes on a graceful shape. When we first laid eyes on Lancôme’s new Fall collection, however, we barely recognised the brand – even after a double-take. The whimsical lineup may be a huge departure, but we’ve definitely fallen head over heels for each and every product on show.
In its quirkiest collaboration yet, the French powerhouse teamed up with Parisian fashion designer Olympia Le-Tan to create the retro-fresh makeup collection of our dreams. For those who aren’t acquainted with Olympia Le-Tan’s work, she’s recognised for her fun minaudière handbags that are inspired by classic literature, so it’s no surprise they’re adored by a large number of individuals from the literary-loving fashion crowd.
Rather than creating new products or putting a name stamp on existing ones, Olympia delved into Lancôme archives that are decades old and gave certain shades a modern spin, including an orangey-red lippy from 1980 coincidentally named Olympia. Furnished with charming illustrations and 3D elements, the complete lineup will include two classic L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks, each engraved with a lip imprint and Olympia’s signature; two new Artliners, three Matte Shakers, and four nail polishes with a clear topcoat that’s loaded with gold stars. And of course, there’s a palette that mimics her iconic, coveted handbags.
So if you’ve always wanted to own an Olympia Le-Tan exclusive, but have been way too broke to afford anything she creates, now’s the time to seize this opportunity.
