Ji Chang Wook and Song Ji Hyo Turn On The Style with Fossil’s Smartwatches

Shaving one’s head. It’s a ritual that most Singaporean men are familiar with. But for popular K-celebrity Ji Chang Wook, being bald is now a reality. The Suspicious Partners and Healer star was recently enlisted in South Korea’s mandatory military service earlier this August, with losing his locks part and parcel of the process.
But before all that went down, along came Fossil.

The fashion watch brand roped in Ji, along with fellow Korean celeb and Running Man star Song Ji Hyo, to spearhead the company’s latest campaign called Fossil Firsts, where users are reminded of their first watch and the memories associated with that watch, or to make new memories with a brand new watch.

The move made sense.
After all, Ji was embarking on a new adventure in life with the military. But while Song did not have the same commitments, her energy and personal style made her the ideal Fossil user. And interestingly, both Ji and Song were first-time Fossil users prior to the campaign, so they were perfect candidates to lead the next generation.
And the next generation is definitely at the forefront of Fossil’s plans. The Texas-based company recently unveiled its latest range of watches, or should we say, smartwatches, that boast a variety of futuristic features without compromising on style.

For instance, under the company’s Q Venture and Q Explorist collections, users can look forward to features like smartphone notifications, customisable watch faces, Google assistant, daily activity tracking, and even wireless charging – if you’d like to own the crème de la crème of smartwatch technology, that is.

If you want something simpler but equally as stylish, do check out Fossil’s Q Accomplice or Q Activist collections. More hybrid smartwatches than anything else, these timepieces look like regular watches but with added smartwatch features – notifications, selfie-function, and sleep tracking just to name a few.

Fossil’s smartwatches may not be anywhere near the realm of groundbreaking in terms of innovation (we’ll leave that to Apple and Samsung), but they are certainly attractive, and the company’s delightful blend of form and function more than makes up for it. Plus, if it’s enough to impress Ji Chang Wook and Song Ji Hyo, it’s enough to impress us.
Fossil’s latest collection of smartwatches are now available at all Fossil retail stores, Zalora, and coming soon to Lazada on 25 Sep.
