We see many fashion icons roaming the streets of Japan every single day, some come and go like the seasons, but one fashionista to watch currently is 6-year-old Instagram sensation, Coco, who goes by the Instagram handle of (@coco_pinkprincess). She is probably the youngest and most kawaii fashion icon rocking the streets of Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan in the coolest and most talked-about fashion brands.
Coco is decked out in an oriental jacket, huge vintage glasses and a Moschino cap.
Coco, of course, has school to attend but when she’s off from school she spends a chunk of her time hanging out in her second home in Harajuku, Funktique (@funktiquetokyo), which is owned by Coco’s parents. Funktique is a 90s specialty fashion boutique that boasts a selection of really funky fashion items, vintage accessories and shoes.

Coco’s personal style, as described by her mom, Misato, is a combination of high fashion meets streets completed with a drizzle of vintage touches in her overall stylish ensemble. When we talk to her about her latest favourite fashion item of the year, she tells us how much she enjoys wearing her vintage floral dress and her current obsession with the fashion item.
Springtime in Japan is when the trees are blooming with pink sakura flowers and Coco is in her pink furry jacket to match the season, her Comme des Garçons bag and Fendi sandals.

Finally, when we asked Coco what kind of fashion style she is interested to try, her mom Misato replies, “We are thinking of exploring a new kind of fashion style which is a fusion of new technology meets classic”. Now this got us really interested and we’ve got our eyeballs glued on her next fashion experiment!
