When Kumoya announced that the Cinnamoroll Café won’t be the last of its collaborations, we waited with bated breath in anticipation to see who is next. These cute character-themed cafes are simply too adorable!
And now we have it. Dutch bunny Miffy will be hopping into Singapore next month, with an entire cafe pop-up dedicated to her! Granted, Miffy might not be as well known as Gudetama or Hello Kitty, but she’s still pretty recognisable. We are pretty sure you’ve seen her around – she has her storybook line and merchandise! Just don’t assume that the bunny is one of Hello Kitty’s Sanrio squad (even though she is pretty popular in Japan).
The bright and colorful world of Miffy and her friends illustrated by Dick Bruna will come alive and take over Kumoya, with an entire Miffy menu to boot.
Shirley Wong from Little Miss Bento, who came up with the menu for the Gudetama and Cinnamoroll Cafes, is at it again with her whimsical creations. We are not complaining though! How can you resist the dishes?
Here are just some of the dishes that you’ll be able to find at the cafe. If you love cute characters on your food, get ready for these dishes to charm their way into your heart. There is so much to choose from, you’ll have a hard time deciding what to order. Of course, no one says that you can only have one dish. Get as many as you want, and bring as many friends to help you finish!
You, Me & Miffy Makes 3 Chicken Katsu Burger ($18.90)
Splashing Good Fun Japanese Seafood Curry Rice ($24.90)
Wonderfully Waffles With Karaage Chicken ($21.90)
W just cannot get over how the breadcrumbs and carrots come shaped like a bunny too!
Awesome Miffy Orange Sponge Cake ($16.90)
Head straight for the desserts for a sweet surprise if you don’t have room for more. The cute bunny appears everywhere! From cakes to chocolate decors and even on cotton candy topping your drink. We’ll never tire of seeing this bunny.
Double-Take Salted Caramel Cake ($15.90)
Miffy Original Orange Soda ($14.90)
Be prepared to spend at least $10 per person, and that you might be asked to leave after 90 minutes as the cafe expects a huge crowd. Don’t take too long snapping those pictures, or you won’t have enough time to savour your food (unless you’re there merely for the photos, then take your time).
Create your own Miffy adventures by taking home a Miffy-themed cookbook written by Shirley Wong herself to guide you through recreating some of those dishes. Have your Miffy-inspired dish anytime you want!
