Every Fall, as the mercury falls and the colour of the trees turn, Starbucks’ most popular seasonal drink comes out to play.

Meet the Pumpkin Spice Latte, also affectionately known as “PSL”. It’s described as Starbucks’ “signature espresso and milk are highlighted by flavour notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove”, and since its introduction in 2003 in the US, has become a huge customer favourite, becoming so well-known that it’s even made its way into popular culture, and is in some circles regarded as the preferred beverage of the “basic white girl”.

A Venti-sized cup of PSL sounds absolutely delicious, and we’d love to try it. Unfortunately, it never made its way into Starbucks Singapore’s menus, probably because… “Fall” is nothing more than an abstract concept here. This didn’t stop some Singaporeans from trying their luck, though:
Finally, in our (hypothetical) Fall of 2017, Starbucks Singapore has made the wishes of all PSL fans come true, and yes: the Pumpkin Spice Latte makes it debut in Singapore from today, 6 September 2017. Also joining the seasonal menu today is the Maple Pecan Latte, which is a blend of espresso and milk with maple pecan sauce swirled in, and topped off with a crunchy mix of pecan and praline. Both can be ordered hot or over ice, or even as a Frappuccino.
As far as we’re concerned, this essentially means that the Christmas drinks selection has just lost its place as our favourite Starbucks seasonal menu – and now that Starbucks Singapore has finally brought the PSL in, it better be a yearly affair.
