Gird Your Loins, The My Little Pony x ColourPop Collection Is Coming Soon

Everyone’s favourite wallet-friendly cosmetics brand has officially partnered up with everyone’s favourite… rainbow-coloured horses? You guessed it, ColourPop is about to drop its collaboration with My Little Pony. Ahead of the My Little Pony movie release on 6 October (that’s 2 November for us), ColourPop has created a limited-edition range based on the adorable cartoon collectible, and from what we’ve gathered, the line will include eyeshadows, highlighters and the brand’s standout lippies.

Now that “Pony Palettes” are a major hit among the masses, we’re looking forward to swatching on shades from the Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette, which features 12 hues that are named after those hoofed childhood icons of ours. Butterscotch is looking pretty fine in that rose-tinted white opalescence, while Blossom glows in a peachy-gold chrome, and Skydancer bears a cool lavender tinge. To complement the palette, there are two Highlighters: a soft purple named Trickles, and a peach-toned gold called Starflower; as well as three Super Shock Highlighters to keep you gleaming all through the holidays. We’ve got our eyes on the Sunbeam shade, because it sure looks like a unicorn makeup revival is about to happen with this one.

Fans of the Ultra Matte Lips and Ultra Glossy Lips have something to sing about too since new technicolour shades will be added to the existing cult-favourite lineup. We’re a little taken aback by Moondancer, though – it’s a dark plum hue that definitely doesn’t fit in with the rest of the collection, but we can all appreciate a little goth creature in the family.

Makeup aside, you can also get a Brush Set to dust on all those powdery formulas. The kit comes with five fluffy hot-pink bristles that practically make our inner ponies scream. And since that’s a pretty large haul you’ll be making, you’ll need to store ’em all the their new Cosmetics Bag.
