Just hanging out around town for food and light shopping these few weeks has already sufficiently gotten us into the festive end-of-year holiday spirit. Yesterday, we were super excited to attend Tiffany and Co.’s “A Tiffany Holiday” party, where we caught the Tiffany and Co. Christmas tree light-up ceremony and enjoyed The Sam Willows perform a setlist of Christmas songs. Not only did they give us every reason to get right into the festive spirit, their rendition of their hit single “Take Heart” gave us extra feels for their upcoming album launching early next year!
Here are some highlights of the party — don’t worry, even if you weren’t there, we’ve got you covered!
Besides The Sam Willows, we were also graced by the presence of Rozz (@HeyRozz), the emcee for the party. Best known for her wicked coverage of news and pop culture and as one of our favourite radio DJs, we weren’t surprised when she killed with her vibrant personality and irreverent sense of humour.
For us, however, the party didn’t end there. We then headed into the Tiffany and Co. flagship store just metres away to participate in a variety of Christmas-themed activities we can’t wait to share with you.
Just walking into the store also made us also super excited to be receiving and thinking up super sentimental gifts from and for our loved ones this year. Tiffany and Co. has been launching an exquisite line-up of new jewellery, fragrances and homeware, with just about every piece sounding off our shopping radar. For those of us who were planning to get our loved ones some Tiffany jewelry this holiday, we visited the Calligraphy and Postcard station where we witnessed a team of professionals working on customised letters as a pleasant accompaniment.
For the rest of us, we rushed over to get our cuppa hot cocoa from the West Coast Cocoa Merchants Hot Chocolate Bar, filling our tummies with the warmth of Tiffany and Co.’s love. The hot chocolate bar featured a triad of concoctions — Deluxe, Dark Deluxe and Peppermint — that were made with premium, ethically-sourced cocoa beans which were both tasty and approvable by Santa’s Nice List. They even had fancy names like “Meet Me Under the Mistletoe” and “Baby it’s Cold Outside,” which made us yearn even more to spend some time at Tiffany and Co. store with our loved ones.
If you’re walking around Ngee Ann City anytime during the Christmas period this year, don’t be startled by a silver chrome human mannequin pushing a figure of wonderful life-sized Tiffany and Co. Blue Boxes. It’s neither the ghost of Christmas past, present or future — it’s just Tiffany and Co.’s way of reminding you what great gifts Tiffany and Co. jewellery make, especially apt for the festivity often dubbed the Season of Giving!
This year also amped our moods to take pictures by the Tiffany and Co. Christmas tree due to the special Tiffany-themed “Gift Box” Photobooth, which gave us extra material to work around when we were posing with our colleagues. Just a head’s up: you have to 1 January 2018 to take as many photos by the Tiffany and Co. Christmas tree!
Date: Until 1 January 2018
Venue: Takashimaya Atrium
And just merely looking how gorgeous the tree is when fully lit up, what with the shiny silver baubles and robin blue gift boxes all strung in place, you know you need to drop by for your yearly holiday pictures already. We’ll see you there!
