Instagram-Worthy Makeup Looks Inspired By Stranger Things

We were so excited about Stranger Things S2, that we completely understand if you binge-watched the entire season in one sitting. After all, we did too. We know Halloween’s over but it’s never too late to start to get inspired by Stranger Things makeup looks.
When we saw these Instagram-worthy makeup looks inspired by Stranger Things, will you judge us if we shrieked a little in excitement? With skilfully applied makeup, makeup artists all over Instagram have been creating custom-made looks for their eyes, lips, and even noses (bleeding like El’s, how else?).
Some of them are themed by colour while others use an outright demodog to show their love for the hit TV show. We don’t recommend carrying these looks for your muted everyday look – all are statement looks.

No doubt, this look – complete with bleeding nose, and all – would’ve been perfect for Halloween. What we really like about this is the contrast between the upper and bottom lip, to highlight the differences between our world and the Upside Down world.

Another look that would’ve been perfect for Halloween – from the hanging fairy lights with scrawled alphabet letters, to the recreated scene in the woods above the eyelid crease.

Sometimes you have a great idea and when you go to execute it you complete miss the mark. I shared the process for this #demodog lip art (face art?) the other day to celebrate the release of #strangerthings2 and you guys were really into it. Unfortunately by the time I finished I had run out of natural light and also somehow messed up the whole look and ended up with this low-res mess. Just posting it because I've been getting a lot of messages about it for a few days and didn't want to leave you hanging. Also because this is what happens when you try: sometimes you fail, and that's okay. Now I know what products to avoid and which ones I'll use next time, and how to photograph it. I'll repeat it tomorrow/as soon as I can (and idk, I'll probably delete this post and add the picture to the next one), just wanted to share my failure with you and turn some of the frustration into motivation 💪🏻 .
