Christian Louboutin Teams Up With Star Wars For These Battle-Ready Pumps

Before it was released, we donned our favourite outfit looks from the show, played the Disney Lenovos VR game and even devoured Swensons ice cream cakes dedicated to it to curb our pangs of excitement. Now that Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been out in cinemas for over a week now, filled-out cinemas of Jedi-wannabes across the world have experienced the wrath of the JJ Abram’s force.
Netizens have been up in arms over whether to toot or boot Abram’s second attempt at reviving the Star Wars film franchise, but even if the two-and-a-half hour blockbuster didn’t deliver like Deliveroo’s Last Jedi burgers and shakes, these Star Wars-inspired Louboutins are too out-of-this-world gorgeous to resist trying on.

Louboutin x Star Wars collection

Combining the forces of the luxury shoe designer and iconic film franchise might not have seemed like a natural fit at the start, and Christian Louboutin himself even confessed: “At first sight, the Star Wars universe and mine seemed far away from one another but when I saw the pictures of the red planet Crait, I instantly understood where it connected and why they had thought of me.”
THE SPACESHIP

How Louboutin transforms a spaceship into a design sketch

Take it from Louboutin’s creations. Directly inspired by the main characters from The Last Jedi are Rey, Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, Captain Phasma and Rose Tico, these red-bottoms are definitely not just for hardcore fans; aesthetically they assimilate very well with the other pumps we’ve been craving for since day one, but they’re edgy and referential enough to the movie’s inspiration to be claimed a well-rounded collaborative effort.
Sadly, these shoes will not be available for purchase in-store. However, a commemorative pair of each design signed by Louboutin himself will be auctioned off on charitybuzz.com/StarWars from 7—20 December with a portion of the auction’s proceeds going to the Starlight Children’s Foundation which improves the livelihoods of children worldwide.
