The annual hipster festival, St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival has finally announced their regional acts for the Singapore 2018 stop. While the main headliners are more or less the same as the ones who take the stage in the Australia and New Zealand Laneway dates, the Singapore date usually sees a wider range of Asian and local acts. Earlier this year, Laneway announced all their headliners – with hip hop collective Anderson .Paak And The Free Nationals, alternative rock band Wolf Alice, electronica producer Bonobo and indie rock sextet The War on Drugs as some of the more anticipated bands.
This year sees a diverse range of eight Asian artists from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. Noticeably missing from the lineup are any Japanese acts despite the massive turnout from the two first ever Japanese singers KOHH and Wednesday Campanella to perform at Laneway earlier this year, but we’ll just have to make do with the rest of the other regional acts. Give them a chance because you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Check out the eight regional acts (in alphabetical order) below.

Here’s the entire lineup that Laneway has in store for you punters – you might not recognise many of the names if you have very mainstream music tastes, but you can be reassured that these are all the best of the best, especially when it comes to the rising stars! After all, Laneway has never really let us down with their music choices (we can’t really say the same about the weather), so you can be absolutely sure that you’ll be in for a good time.
St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2018, Singapore will take place at The Meadow, Gardens By The Bay on 27 January.
