Samsung May Reveal the Galaxy S9 in February

The iPhone X may have hit shelves not too long ago, but it could soon have a fierce competitor on its heels barely months into its life cycle – if recent market speculation is to be believed. According to a report from Bloomberg, Samsung will reportedly announce its next flagship phone, the Galaxy S9, earlier than expected in February.

An official product release could also happen as early as March, according to people familiar with the matter, making it a month earlier than usual for Samsung (the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus were released in April this year).
The models, which will most likely be called the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, will include upgraded camera systems, while the infinity display may be stretched further with a narrower bezel on top. Check out a mock-up of what such a phone could look like:

If anything, this is the latest punch thrown by Samsung in the never-ending smartphone bout with Apple, and one that could propel it into the realm of market supremacy – at least for the time being. Only one thing is certain: nothing is confirmed till Samsung gives the official word, so it’s good to take all this with a pinch of salt.
Till then, stick with us for more updates.
