World’s First Ever Zero Gravity Rave Will Take Flight With Armin, Steve Aoki and W&W

Music festivals are a dime a dozen, and there’s a music festival for everyone no matter what your music tastes leans towards. Just in Singapore, there is St Jerome’s Laneway Festival for the hipsters, Neon Lights Festival for the Glastonbury wannabes, Baybeats for the local alternative crowd and ZoukOut for the EDM punters.

If you think you’ve been to every single kind of festival you can even think off, be prepared to be mindblown. This one takes the cake, and not just because Steve Aoki is part of the lineup. World Club Dome will be hosting the world’s first ever zero gravity music festival – the Zero Gravity Club – which takes place onboard an A310 aircraft.

It’s not only the world’s smallest and most exclusive club, it’s also the highest. You can literally get so high that you feel like your head is in the clouds. That’s right, you’ll be floating in space with three of EDM’s biggest artists. There is no better chance to get up close with trance god Armin Van Buuren, cake-throwing electro DJ Steve Aoki and house legends W&W all within the same plane. We definitely want to know if Steve Aoki will be up to his cake-throwing antics again because we all want to know how it’s gonna end in zero gravity.

Bits of floating cake and random people in the air – sounds pretty unpredictable!

This music festival is so exclusive that you can’t even buy the tickets; you have to participate in their contest by uploading a 20-second video showing how you would represent your continent. You’ll have to think of somethin more than just waving a flag around, because you’ll be fighting against hundreds of people for this chance. Only two winners (one guy and one girl) will be chosen from each continent to party it up in the skies. Entries close on 12 January, so you have about a week more to apply if you want to be an EDM pioneer.

Our only gripe is that Hardwell is left out of this entire shebang because he has the PERFECT song for a music festival in space? Call me a spaceman, why won’t you.

Head to wcdzerogravity.com to find out how to enter the contest and for the full list of terms and conditions.
