Peter Philips is back again with another hype-worthy Dior Backstage collection, a range that the Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup personally conceived in 2018. It’s one close to our hearts too, since the essential, universal items are made for makeup enthusiasts who desire to recreate the deft hand of the professionals — don’t we all relate already? This holiday season, they’re introducing a new colour collection for two iconic products: the Dior Backstage Glow Face palette and the Dior Addict Lip Maximizers.
Think gold tones inspired by the house of Dior’s couture collections on the runway. These feature a whole spectrum of golds, whether we’re talking rose, champagne or bronze hues, shimmery or metallic finishes, or different intensities of light and dark shades.
“Playing with different shades regardless of your skin tone, daring all sorts of combinations, creating your own look with a professional result — that’s the spirit of the Dior Backstage line. With the added touch this season of a multi-faceted highlighter. Glitter & glow, that’s what we want for the festive season!” says Peter Philips, the makeup maestro himself.
For the Glow Face Palette, you’re looking at a multi-purpose quad that gives you options across the various finishes — shimmery, metallic, satin, glittery — with the promise of maximum colour payoff as well. Pure Gold 003 is an ode to yellow gold; Rose Gold 004 highlights pink and rosy tones; while Copper Gold 005 edges on warm copper tones.
Either way, you can use them on the eyes, to catch the light on high points of your face, as a warm bronzer, or applied to the shoulders and décolletage for an alluring party look. Perfect for all skin tones as well.
Philips has also designed each palette to be paired with its corresponding Dior Addict Lip Maximizer, where the plumping lip care product gives us comfort and a glowy shine you’ll want to show off — even if you won’t exactly be walking the runway after.
The three new Dior Backstage Glow Face palettes ($77) and Dior Addict Lip Maximizers ($50) will be available at all Dior counters from 1 November 2020. dior.com
