Andaz Singapore Is Offering A Lazy Breakfast Weekend Brunch Concept

With overseas travel out of the question these days, it’s no secret that Singaporeans are, well, desperate for places to go. Anywhere that ignites our wanderlust we cry, as we continue to post #throwback photos from our previous grand travels. Which means hotel staycations are a popular choice.

If you’ve been toying with the idea of a stay at premium hotel, Andaz Singapore, know now that they’ve got a whole new breakfast offering — a Lazy Breakfast Weekend Brunch, where you can enjoy unlimited breakfast buffet items, served right to you at your table.

Available to all diners at Alley on 25, which also offers a nice view of the surrounding precinct, the Weekend Lazy Breakfast concept is available on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, now till 31 October 2020, at $50++ per person.

To start, pick a breakfast main from their menu, then enjoy a free flow of a la carte breakfast and dessert dishes, including eggs (done fried, omelette-style, scrambled and more), cold cuts, cheese, cereal, warm bread, waffles, seasonal fruits, drinks and more. This also includes carving board specialties such as pork sausages and baked ham.

From our tasting over the weekend, we’d highly recommend the Cold Seafood plate, served with poached prawn, smoked salmon, and mussels that you can dip in the delicious cocktail sauce. The selection on the menu was truly diverse as well, since you could order up a whole bunch of savoury eats, alongside sweet treats such as waffles, tarts, and ice cream — the main draw being that you can keep going for your favourites, since these are served unlimited buffet style.

Main: Avocado Toast.
Main: Lobster Mac & Cheese

Of course, each person gets to order a main course of their choice too, and this is where it gets exciting. Any millennial worth their salt would go straight for the Avocado Toast, and this was served on a slice of sourdough bread, along with roasted tomato, feta cheese, and sunflower seeds. The avo was fresh and creamy, and combined with the other brunch dishes, made for a satisfying meal.

And yet, what was undoubtably the star of the hour had to be the Lobster Mac & Cheese. To be fair, this needed an additional top-up of $10, a fee worth every dollar, since the dish was served freshly prepared and piping hot. Like all good mac & cheese, the cheddar cheese was gooey and melty, with a baked crust that was crispy around the pan edges. The pasta also held its own bite. As for that Maine lobster, you’ll be getting generous chunks of it throughout, and we think its addition also infused the dish with a seafood twist, akin to a lobster bisque.

If you’re in the mood for brunch drinks, top up $45 for an unlimited beverage package that includes beer, wine, or sparkling Prosecco. Now, that’s a complete brunch alright, especially when you’ve just snoozed your morning away, only to properly wake up at the sound of clinking champagne glasses.
