A Look At All Of NARS' Spring Makeup, Including An Upcoming Air Matte Blush

Spring is about to be in full swing — not that the seasons matter much here — but at least there are beauty launches we can look forward to. From a collection dedicated to François Nars’ mom, to irresistible matte formulas to beat the humidity, here are all of NARS’ Spring makeup launches.

Claudette Collection

This time, François Nars looks to his mother, Claudette, as muse for this limited edition collection, which celebrates both refined elegance and a sweet authenticity via a series of bold, wearable shades. What stands out most is, of course, the red-and-black packaging of hearts, clovers, and butterflies, meant to represent the irreverent spirit of 1970s Paris Rive Gauche. Other than two styles of lipstick — either the Audacious Sheer Matte or the original Audacious with its satin formula — there’s also an eyeshadow palette and cheek duo that features the beauty brand’s cult blush formula for a blendable, natural-looking flush. As for the palette, this one’s just as wearable, with six warm, neutral shades in matte, satin, and shimmer finishes.

Air Matte Blush

Trust NARS with a blush. Their powder formulas, especially in the peachy-golden shade Orgasm, are well-loved by anyone who’s into beauty, so a new cheek product from the brand comes highly anticipated. These Air Matte Blushes look like just the thing that’d turn us on. They’re of a creamy mousse formula that transforms into a velvety powder when in contact with the skin, giving a soft, diffused finish. This is achieved via a Color Diffusion Complex of silky polymers and micro-powders, for rich colour that’s as lightweight and natural as possible, or the look of flushed cheeks.

Soft Matte 2021

After debuting the Soft Matte Foundation last year with much fanfare, NARS is now introducing other key matte essentials for the lips and cheeks. We’ll start with the Soft Matte Tinted Lip Balm, of 6 limited-edition sheer matte lip balms that layer on a wash of nude colour. Then, there’s also two Full Dimension Cheek Palettes, each featuring a matte blush along with complementary shades of highlighter, shimmering blush, and bronzer for a full look.
