We wouldn’t say we’re slaves to commercialism, but sometimes, all it takes is a brightly-coloured mug and the right “aesthetics” to get us out of a weird funk. You know that feeling. Danish design company Copenhagen Design certainly knows what they’re doing with their series of Pantone Lifestyle mugs, water bottles, notebooks and more, made for designers and colour enthusiasts alike. These items are now even more accessible, and are available at Actually stores in Singapore.
Among them is, of course, the Pantone Color of the Year 2021 — well, two actually, of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating. The unusual pairing of grey and yellow represents “subtle strength and hopefulness”, and a dual message of endurance amidst hope.
There are other functional Pantone Lifestyle items meant for the home and office as well, pleasing in their sheer simplicity, in line with the industry-standard PANTONE colour system.
