With cycling, skateboarding, and even 80s-style roller skating back in vogue, athleisure’s more relevant than ever. The trend isn’t new of course, but the oh-so-casual vibe of pairing utility windbreakers with luxe bags gets quite real, especially with Coach‘s new sportswear capsule. Part of the Pre-Fall collection, this series of reimagined sporting gear comes emblazoned with distinct American sportswear features and retro graphics, most clearly observed in the red, white, and blue colourways.

The campaign is photographed by Tyrell Hampton and stars roller skaters Keon Saghari, Ashley Imani, and Sebeey Chi, all decked out in athletic tees, sweatshirts, nylon windbreakers and shorts with a Coach stamp logo. An organic cotton sweatshirt with a banded hem and cuffs features that same flocked logo, as well as contrast tape inspired by retro-soccer designs, which we also see on leggings, bike shorts, and a sports bra. Another key item would be the colourblock windbreaker, complete with a sporty zip front and striped soft ribbing for a bit of a bomber jacket look.

And then, there are the leather bags. Coach’s quilted bags are certainly prominent, making a comeback in the form of the”Quilties” collection. Soft nappa leather and an iconic turnlock closure reign across these cushiony, archival-inspired designs, whether we’re talking about the shoulder-friendly Swinger 20, or the unique structured looks of the Lunchbox or Willis Top Handles. The styles are also available in Coach’s signature chambray, in a light washed denim that brings plenty of old-school chic to our modern dressing.
