Remember when Animal Crossing: New Horizons was a whole thing in 2020? In a year defined by social-distancing, especially the old Circuit Breaker, sprucing up virtual islands on our Nintendo Switches gave such unexpected comfort, we just couldn’t get enough. With a recent update though, the game has seen a resurgence, which explains this latest collaboration — a capsule collection with Italian accessories brand, Furla.
You’ll spot town secretary Isabelle, the founders of the Able Sisters tailor shop, and even fossil enthusiast Blathers across crossbody bags with mini-pouches attached, case charms, and a mobile phone case.
Basically, this is a collection dedicated to digital natives and all their tech accessories — after all, it’s no coincidence that the cube-like case charms, in textured leather, is just the right size to hold our wireless earphones, while the more rectangular style of an envelope bag looks like the ideal place to store our Switch.
These versatile and unisex Furla silhouettes are crafted with textured leather treated to be water-resistant, in blue or beige, while also marked by a monogram print of the Furla arch logo that serves as a backdrop for Animal Crossing’s familiar animated characters. In case you’re wondering, Tom Nook, the rare K.K Slider, lost seagull Gulliver, and enterprising duo Timmy and Tommy feature here as well.
To further celebrate the partnership, you’ll even be able to visit Bellaria, a colourful island within the game created by Furla, and featuring their elegant yet eccentric Italian touches all over the virtual zipcode. To enter, take a nap on a bed placed in your home, choose to dream, then search via Dream Address with the following access code: DA-3807-0454-2927.
