M.A.C Just Dropped A 'Stranger Things' Makeup Collection And It's Totally Wicked

Cue ominous music. Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things will soon be back on our screens this May, and thankfully, we’ve got an accompanying makeup collection that’ll have us looking absolutely rad, both in the real world and the Upside Down.

With eyeshadow palettes, liquid lipsticks, and a blush, there are, of course, two sides to this line-up — a fun one that takes us on a nostalgic trip back to the 80s, the class of 1986 to be precise, and another that captures the eerie dimension of the Upside Down, with goth-like makeup to match. Willlll you be able to resist?

Let’s get right to it then. The highlight of of M.A.C’s new collection has to be those eyeshadow palettes. The Human World collection, as it’s dubbed, features one called the ‘Hawkins Class of 1986’, and is characterised by bright colours of blues, pinks, and purples that recall the era of the suburban mall. Its packaging also reflects something you’ll see at a typical American high school, mascot motifs and all.

On the other hand, the Upside Down palette does justice to serious Demogorgon and Mind Flayer vibes, from the creeping veins on its outer packaging, to the choice of shades such as metallic green, a dark blue, and matte black.

Similarly, both the Powder Blushes and Lipglasses, M.A.C’s take on high-shine liquid lipsticks, complement those colour codes and design choices as well. Choose from either a soft pink blush or a more daring vintage-wash burnt red that diffuses nicely across the cheeks, or Lipglasses that range from a light coral and cool-kid bright fuchsia, to acid green, bright red, and black. An eyeshadow brush and powder brush are available as well.
