Remember the nineties when Tamagotchi was all the rage? For some of us, it was our first attempt at showing our parents how responsible we were when it came to owning a pet, but for others, it was the hippest accessory to have and you definitely did not want to be the only one who was Tamagotchi-less.

For those who may not be familiar with these popular nineties toy, Tamagotchi is an egg-shaped device that housed an interactive digital pet that you needed to feed, play and care for, just like a physical pet.
In addition to the toy making a comeback (with big name collaborations like Star Wars, BTS’ TinyTan, and Demon Slayer), it is now ready to make waves in the fashion industry through an &Co.LLABORATION between MAX&Co. and Bandai Namco Europe S.A.S.

The capsule collection, aptly titled Tamagotchi in Paris, combines the nostalgia of the nineties with typical French style and will feature playful figures and pixelated graphics on tees and berets.
Characters and motifs, including hearts and Tamagotchi itself, will either be beaded and embroidered across the collection bringing a bit of nostalgic fun to tailored cotton shirts and indigo denim jeans. The use of supersized graphics is also included and can be found on intarsia knits or embossed on leather mini-bags.

Stripes are a recurring theme of the capsule and would typically be found on t-shirts and hoodies either in monochrome black and white or bright hues like poppy pink and red. The collection also pays homage to the simple instructions for looking after a Tamagotchi with the phrase ‘Eat sleep repeat’ which can be found emblazoned on the back of tees, on front of slouchy sweaters, and on jacquard collars.
